An actor faces an audition that falls very close to home, and despite the support from his sponsor, faces a lot of pain to hit his deadline.
I enjoyed the challenge of embodying the role of the protagonist’s sponsor, Kevin, who is only present as a voice on the phone. I sought to imbue the voice with a depth of experience and understanding that can exist between sponsors, as well as the tough love that can define that dynamic, as well.
